A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that delivers the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it only to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our host records routine log information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand usage. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this information to operate the reference, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell a list of visitors or create personal visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
New Jersey's Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023, c.266, codified at N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., provides rights that can include access, correction, deletion, and certain opt-out choices when it applies to a controller. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by New Jersey, Ocean County, or Barnegat Township are outside our control; direct a correction or removal request to the relevant custodian.
